Dr. Jana Mulvaney is a dedicated addiction speciailist with over 25 years of clinical experience.  She opened this residential sober living home formally 5 years ago, although this site has been part of a sober-living community for 18 years.  She has a strong medical background in nursing sciences working in multiple fields of medicine, rehabilitation & health care.  She has maintained an active Registered Nursing license since 1984.  About 18 years ago she recognized a gap between physical health & emotional health, and returned to school to learn how to bridge this gap.  Her goal was to provide a more complete & wholistic approach to healing.   She obtained her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and was licensed as a Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in 1998.  After many successful years in private practice and working in recovery treatment programs she again returned to academia completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2002.  Dr. Mulvaney has an expansive list of experiences and resources in the field of addiction, which has included supervising & consultation in treatment & relapse prevention.  Dr. Mulvaney will not be providing individual counseling for residents of Palms Vista, but will be happy to provide local referrals for counseling services.  She will instead utilize her depth of experiences & education to provide structure, support & continuity of care.
